Making Waves: Climate Change invites students from Title 1 schools to investigate the effects of a changing planet at the local and global level through a virtual program and additional resources. Fourth and fifth grade classes receive a virtual field trip where students learn how climate change affects local habitats around New York City, meet a local animal impacted by climate change, and brainstorm ways to combat this issue. In addition to the virtual field trip, this program also includes asynchronous materials and activities developed and curated by Aquarium and National Grid Sustainability Hub staff. Each class will receive access to these resources through Padlet that can be explored before and after the field trip.
