Hudson Canyon Expedition: Watch Party

Join us for a live Hudson Canyon Expedition Watch Party at the New York Aquarium

This year marks the 100-year anniversary of WCS scientists and artists setting out on the Arcturus Expedition to study marine habitats, including the Hudson Canyon. This month, WCS is supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in a groundbreaking return, utilizing 8 remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to explore the East Coast’s largest submarine canyon.

From September 14–26, join us at the New York Aquarium for a watch party to watch these monumental moments in deep-sea exploration.

Be part of a viewing party at the New York Aquarium, where we’ll stream live footage daily from the Canyon’s Edge Exhibit in Ocean Wonders: Sharks! In partnership with Works on Water, the aquarium will host two Artists in Residence—Sherese Francis and Perrin Ireland—who will be on hand to share their creative reflections inspired by the deep sea.
