STEM Goes Wild! Field Day
- SOLD OUT -
Activities from 10:00am - 12:30pm
STEM Goes Wild! Field Days invite students from Title 1 schools to investigate the Aquarium using science, technology, engineering, and math. Students follow a “secret map” to discover STEM challenges throughout the facility, including: using microscopes to explore the structure of otter fur and a seven-foot-long whale jaw; testing the warming properties of seal blubber; meeting a live animal up close; and going behind the scenes to observe how engineers build the marine exhibits. The day includes a unique exploration of the new and innovative Ocean Wonders: Sharks! exhibit, which features sharks and other marine life that live here in New York’s waterways.
