Fur, Fins, and Feathers

  • Grades: K-2nd
  • Time: 60 minutes
  • Fee: $200 / $150 Early Bird

Penguins, fish, and marine mammals may all live in the ocean, but they each have different adaptations that help them live, grow, and thrive. Through focused animal observations and activities, your students will compare and contrast the characteristics of these fascinating animals. Your students will go hands-on to simulate flippers and fins moving in water and model how feathers, scales, and fur work to repel water or maintain warmth. We'll end the program with a live animal meet and greet in the classroom! After this standards aligned program, your students will have a whole new appreciation for survival in the sea! To receive the Early Bird Price, you must visit before February 28, 2020.
