Did you know sea otters are a keystone species? In this multifaceted standards aligned program, the delicate relationships between plants and animals in a food web come alive. Students touch a real sea otter pelt, observe otters on exhibit, and create an interactive class size model of a kelp forest ecosystem. We’ll touch a live kelp forest animal and walk away with a better understanding of the important job otters have in maintaining a healthy kelp forest ecosystem.
