Over 115 marine species, 18 different kinds of sharks and rays, one unforgettable experience. The Donald Zucker and Barbara Hrbek Zucker Ocean Wonders: Sharks! exhibit brings some of the most misunderstood animals out of the depths and nose-to-nose with visitors like you!
Sometimes tunnel vision is a good thing. Like when it puts you smack dab in the middle of this colorful coral reef, surrounded by blacktip reef shark sharks, butterflyfish, and zebra sharks swimming above you.
How do sharks breathe? How do they reproduce? How do they move? How close do they live to NYC? (Hint: very). Explore the exhibit for answers, fun facts, and close-ups of the faces that swim beneath the surface!
You don’t have to hold your breath to enjoy this underwater view. Though it may take your breath away! Stare into the deep as sand tiger sharks, sandbar sharks, and rough tail stingrays emerge from the shadows.
