Tips For Your Visit
Want to avoid crowds and school/camp groups? Major holidays and the months of July and August are very busy times at the Aquarium. To beat the rush, consider coming at opening (10:00 a.m.) or later in the afternoon (2:00 p.m.). Fall and spring are also good times to visit. You'll have the place to yourself and there's plenty to see.
Check your watch! Don't miss our spectacular Aquatheater marine mammal demonstration, featuring our California sea lions. Times are posted at the Aquarium entrance and plaza area. Also stop by for our animal feeds. Watch the keepers work with the animals and feel free to ask them questions!
Know before you go. Read a brief explanation of our exhibits and the best route to follow so that you won't miss out on anything.
Join us for great family programs. The Aquarium has a number of special events and educational programs happening throughout the year. See what's going on by visiting our What’s Happening page.
Accessibility: All buildings and exhibits are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Check the map to make sure you know how to access exhibits via ramps or elevators instead of stairs. Please note: If you are attending the Aquatheater demonstration, there is an area to check your stroller.
