Just because we’re having a rainy summer doesn’t mean you can’t come visit the animals! All of the WCS zoos and the aquarium offer indoor and sheltered attractions, and damp days rarely faze the animals. Here is a round-up of our favorite rainy-day attractions.
The New York Aquarium opened its doors on December 10, 1896 in Battery Park, Manhattan. Since then, we've grown up and moved out—to Brooklyn, of course. We're now part of legendary Coney Island and home for more than 10,000 marine creatures.

Photos taken in Ecuador by remote camera traps show jaguars, white-lipped peccaries (i.e. jaguar food), and a rarely seen short-eared dog. The photos are part of the Wildlife Conservation Society’s ongoing jaguar census in Ecuador’s Amazon region.
